About Vanessa
Vanessa is a Dialect Coach, Choreographer, and Voice + Performing Artist with many years experience in the industry. Originally from London and having worked globally she now resides in Cape Town. With bases in both cities, she continues to work internationally.
Her performance career includes numerous major musicals, world concert tours, and plays as well as presenting and commercial work. She has been choreographing alongside her performing career for many years both for professional dancers as well as working with actors and models who are required to learn dance and movement for Film and Theatre. Her work on commercials has been for high end ad agencies for global brands such as Coca-Cola, Savanna, Bacardi, Volkswagen, and Nivea. Film and TV work includes Black Mirror, Pirates of Somalia, and Redeeming Love and the live sector includes an open-air theatre production of The Great Gatsby as well as conceptualizing and creating live shows for corporate entertainment.
As a Voice Artist, she is regularly in studio recording for radio and television commercials. She is equally competent with all styles of delivery and has an extensive repertoire of accents. Audiobooks are another facet of her voice work with children’s books and character voices being a keen favorite. She has a home recording booth which enables her to provide a fast turnaround for clients. A professional singer, she also records jingles and is an avid songwriter.
As a Dialect Coach, she has been the resident coach for many TV and Film productions including Outlander Season 3, Black Sails Season 4, Origins-Journey of Humankind, 24 Hours to Live, Labyrinth, and Young Leonardo as well as numerous commercials. She coaches actors privately as well as providing voice training for corporate companies. As a creative, she embraces the many facets of her work whether in Theatre, Film, or Recording.
